Meet Temple is an organization dedicated to growing the city of Temple, Texas. They promote Temple as an amazing place to live and work with the goal of attracting high quality, skilled job seekers to the area to bolster the growing economy.
Temple sits right next to beautiful Belton Lake, has tons of great parks and outdoor spaces, a low cost of living, and a quickly growing market with plentiful job opportunities with nationally renowned businesses. What’s not to love?
The Meet Temple team was previously working with another agency and was unhappy with the level of input that agency provided on overall strategy, communication, and reporting on completed work. They sought a new partner to really engage with to help further their mission and truly accomplish their goals.
Blackhawk stepped up to the plate immediately to overhaul and improve all areas of Meet Temple’s digital marketing strategy.
At the beginning of our relationship (and now every few months), our photo and video team drove up from Austin to Temple for a full day photoshoot. They traveled around town capturing the essence of Temple’s local businesses, restaurant scene, outdoor spaces, and more. These high quality photos are now utilized across all other channels that we manage: social, email, advertising, and more.
Our social media management also quickly saw enormous results after taking over the management of Meet Temple’s organic social platforms. The first month resulted in a near 400% increase in impressions and engagement on Facebook and Instagram.
The Blackhawk email marketing team helped Meet Temple transition to a more powerful email marketing platform, now sending 3 unique and engaging emails per month to 3 specific email lists, and has also put in place an automated email system to save everyone time and resources. Average email open rate varies a bit by industry, but in general, it’s around 18-20%. Our team regularly records an open rate upwards of 23%.
On the advertising front, Blackhawk’s ad team has also found success. First, we implemented conversion tracking so we can properly gauge how the ads are performing. Impressions and clicks are nice, but you need to keep track of valuable user actions to know for certain that your ads are working. We audited both their Google Ads and Facebook Ads accounts which helped us to configure strategies for both that quickly enhanced reach, click through rate, and overall engagement. The result of these efforts are over 8,000 landing page views and over 4.3 million ad impressions to date.
Last but not least, our content team created many valuable resources, tools, and digital downloads for Meet Temple to share with local employers to help and increase hiring rates. These are also being shared with people interested in moving to Temple to advertise what makes the city a great place to live. This includes multiple blogs per month for the website, easily shareable PDF one-pagers, and a massive, in-depth employer marketing guide.
