Jonathan (he/him) started Blackhawk in 2016 out of a passion for marketing and sales and a desire to see growth in small businesses. Jonathan received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He then went on to receive a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Iowa. Following his M.S., Jonathan attended Cornell University and earned his M.B.A. He is married and has 3 beautiful children. Jonathan is a diehard Spurs fan and enjoys all aspects of basketball.

Karlee (she/her) moved to Austin in 2016, shortly after her college graduation from Ohio University, to pursue her career in graphic design. Karlee is passionate about creative expression and building strong brands through design.
When Karlee isn't glued to her computer, you can find her taking dance classes, spending time outdoors, snuggling her cat, drinking margs, or reading up on the latest astrology news.

Sara (she/her) grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and attended the University of Missouri. She graduated Mizzou in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Business Administration. In January of 2020, Sara moved to Austin for new experiences and the Texas sun. She is excited to launch her digital marketing career here at Blackhawk.
On the weekends you can find her at Zilker park with her dog Kali, paddle boarding on Town Lake, or eating tacos and drinking margaritas.

Jenny (she/her) was born and raised in Iowa where she graduated high school, and pursued her passion for numbers. She started working in a financial role over ten years ago. Jenny now works for Blackhawk remotely from Iowa and handles all transactions accounting related.
Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband and son, being outdoors, Christmas and loves frequenting coffee shops.

Coleman (he/him) was born in Chicago, Illinois but moved to Austin shortly after. He made the short trek to San Antonio to attend Trinity University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing while also playing baseball. He worked 2 years in marketing post-grad in San Antonio before moving back to Austin and joining the Blackhawk Digital Marketing Team in early 2022. As the Paid Ads Specialist, he optimizes clients' Google Ads Accounts striving to improve their monthly lead generation.
In his free time, you can find Coleman attempting to capture his former glory playing in just about any rec sports league. He also enjoys happy hours with a squad and playing Mario Kart.

Spencer (He/Him) was born in Houston, raised in Katy, TX! He attended the University of Arkansas and graduated in 2020 with a Major in Finance and Minor in Marketing. Spencer dedicates most of his time outside of work to riding his bike, climbing and drinking/nerding out about craft coffee and craft beer.
Working as a Revenue Operations Specialist for Blackhawk, Spencer is responsible for many operational and accounting tasks to ensure all the money is where it needs to be!

Born and raised in El Paso, TX. Jose Luciano grew up bouncing between both sides of the border with friends and family in Mexico and the US. He attended Texas Tech University studying Marketing and Psychology. As a Reporting & Analytics team member, Jose is responsible for analyzing data from paid media channels and implementing optimizations to keep driving success for our clients.
When he's not working, you can find Jose shredding anything with two wheels, cuddling his 60-pound lapdog of a pitbull, Guapa, or having a beer at a local music show.

Sara (she/her) grew up in the Austin, Tx Area and studied art and business at Texas State University. As a copywriting resident, Sara maintains client branding by crafting textual content in the form of blogs, web content, and social media.
Like any other Austinite, you can find Sara soaking up some rays, exploring the live music scene (or singing along in the so-called family band), and expressing her creativity through photography.

Madison (she/her) was born in Fort Benning, Georgia and moved around a lot when she was younger, but has lived in Central Texas for most of her life. She attended Texas State University where she studied Digital Media Innovation and Political Science.
As a web resident, Madison works on web building and development, as well as helps with development management. In her free time, you can find her hiking, reading (her favorite genre is any book that's written like a fanfiction) or baking!

Mackenzie Beagley (she/her) grew up in Austin, Texas and attended the University of Arkansas. She is a recent 2022 graduate from the University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Science. As much as she loved small town Fayetteville, she wanted something more and moved back to Austin.
When Mackenzie is not in office you can find her at any spin studio, drinking margaritas, hanging out with her cat, Olive, and reading a book. She's a part of our Client Success Team as a Client Success Specialist. Her main focus is to make our clients happy!

Christian (he/him) is from Kansas City, MO, but lives in Lawrence, KS. He is studying to become a graphic designer in the KU Visual Communications program. He's a storyteller at heart. Starting his career in photography and videography, he found his passion to be in graphic and motion design. His array of skills has made him a proud multipotentialite and utility player.
Outside of work, Christian plays with his dog Mama, and you can usually find him with a margarita in hand or a new tattoo in mind.

Sarah Liz (she/her) is originally from Tennessee, but moved to Texas as soon as she could. Sandwiched between four brothers, Sarah Liz is not easily flustered, which is why she handles people so well. After graduating with honors from The University of Texas at Austin, Sarah Liz married Jonathan. Together they have two big dogs and three normal-sized kids.
When Sarah Liz isn’t juggling her job-job with her mom-job (she is on year eight of homeschooling her kids AND hustling for Blackhawk), she can be found doing early morning workouts, reading the countless books stacked on her nightstand, or quoting The Office. “I am Beyoncé, always.”

As a MarTech expert with 10 years of experience, Anna is the fearless leader of our web and technology team. When she’s not making sure Blackhawk stays on top of the latest technology, you can find her reading, biking around Austin, or practicing her musical skills on piano and viola.

Just a kid from Akron, Ohio, Rich (he/him) graduated college in his hometown at The University of Akron with B.B.A in Marketing & Sales management. After graduating, Rich worked 3 years as Revenue Analyst for Smuckers and 1 year as an Account Manager for MRI Real Estate Software. Rich is a SEM Specialist working with clients all across the country on maximizing their local searchability.
In his free time, Rich loves to cook, travel, and enjoy live music. You’re likely to run into him on the East side of Austin at a few of his favorite watering holes such as Liberty, Ramen Tatsu-Ya, or Lazarus Brewing Company.

Born in Russia and raised in no particular place at all, Daria’s (she/her) heart now belongs to Austin, Texas. Though she has no pets yet, she's the proud owner of a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin. Her position at Blackhawk as web copywriter in the Residency program allows her to use her creative skills and cultural experiences to create amazing work for our clients.
She claims to be an avid explorer of food, nature, and the world, and she is, but most nights you can catch her reading a good book or binging her latest find on a streaming service.

A native of Riebeek Kasteel in South Africa, Rick (he/him) has been fortunate enough to explore both sides of the pond. After immigrating to the States with his family, Rick attended Hampden Sydney College in Virginia and received a BA in Economics. Fast forward several years, mix in a couple of career changes, throw in a Malaysian bootcamp, and Rick emerges as a jack of all trades.
On the weekends, you will find Rick zipping around Charlottesville or getting humbled in the local bouldering gym. A sucker for adventure and a natural drinker of all things IPA.

As a lover of stories, Emma works as a CRM & Email Specialist, helping clients engage their customers on a deeper level. When she's not in the office, you'll find her cycling, painting, or reading a memoir with a cortado in hand.
If you've ever met Emma, you've probably heard her talk about her bike ride from Seattle to San Diego to fight domestic sex trafficking. She is passionate about everyone knowing that they are capable of being an advocate!

Austin (he/him) was born in Missouri, raised in Texas, and attended the U of Kansas before finding his way to the city that shares his name. He spent years tending the bar before finding his dream job at Blackhawk in 2021. Starting as an intern, he has since graduated to the residency program and focuses on paid ads campaigns. He now knows more about locksmithing and HVAC services than he ever imagined.
If he's not working, then he's guaranteed to be doing something soccer-related. He's either playing indoor or watching his favorites (Liverpool & Austin FC) a minimum of 5 nights per week.

Raised in Houston, TX, Marie (she/her) moved to Chicago to study Psychology at The University of Chicago. She couldn’t live through another windy winter, so she came back to the Texas heat and is currently getting her Master’s in Advertising at The University of Texas at Austin. As a Client Manager Associate, she is the middle person between Blackhawk and the client – she keeps projects on track and ensures everyone is on the same page.
In her free time, she enjoys taking road trips, playing soccer, and swimming!

Nick grew up in Southwest Louisiana (or as he calls it, "The Boot"). There he went on to pursue a degree in Sociology and a minor in Sales Communications at McNeese State University. Upon graduating, he then had his sights set on pursuing a career in digital marketing in the great state of Texas! The rest is history.
If not working to create stunning ad campaigns for clients at Blackhawk, you'll most likely find Nick strumming his 6-string on his porch or sipping espresso at a local coffee shop. Aside from that, Nick loves watching the sun rise while running around Lady Bird Lake and watching the sun go down at Zilker Park.

May (she/her) is a born-and-raised Austinite who attended Trinity University. She graduated in May 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a Studio Art minor. May moved back to Austin after graduation to begin her career in social media marketing with Blackhawk.
In her spare time, May loves creating art in her studio, going for long runs, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends. May also has a huge passion for music!

Born and raised in St. Louis, and a graduate from the University of Kansas – Rock Chalk! – Taylor (she/her) is a midwesterner through-and-through. She says “ope” and smiles at strangers on the sidewalk; she can’t help it. But once she graduated from KU, she decided to leave the Midwest behind for a while and move down to Austin. Taylor joined the Blackhawk team in 2019 and has grown to be our Head of Client Services. She is the glue between the clients and our team – making sure everybody gets what they want, when they want it. If you’ve got a question, Taylor likely has the answer (or knows who does).
In her free time, you can find Taylor sipping local beer and seeking out live music, watching sports and playing yard games at her brother’s house, or paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake.

Hook 'em Horns, born and raised. At the University of Texas at Austin, Marybeth (she/her) got her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and had great success in a tennis class. She joined the Blackhawk team as part of the Residency Program where she sharpened her skills in copywriting, design, and photography and more. She now oversees the Creative Services at Blackhawk.
As a culture vulture, there are many things in Austin that Marybeth loves to do. From swimming in Barton Springs, to live music at beer gardens, to trying new Austin eats, the city never fails her. Ask her about her one-eyed chihuahua, Poopie!

Drew has a marketing degree from Florida State University, and has worked at various small startups since college. Drew specializes in Facebook Advertising, but dabbles in web development.
A retired wedding DJ, you can find him staring into the void reading existential philosophy, pouring wasted hours into video games, and watching his Jets & Mets let him down every season.

Bryce previously worked for Blackhawk in 2017 but went back to school at Arizona State to finish his Bachelor's degree in Digital Audience and has now returned back to us. Bryce works in Google My Business and Local SEO.
When Bryce isn't working on local SEO he is building his side hustles of his clothing brand and sports memorabilia reselling. Bryce is an avid sports fan and loves cheering on the Denver Broncos and Nuggets.

Liv (she/her) grew up in Dunedin, FL, and studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the University of Pennsylvania while competing in the stripes on the Track and Field team as a multi-eventer. After volunteering for Penn's chapter of Kesem, she decided to geek out a bit more and earned a Master's in Nonprofit Leadership. In 2021, Liv moved to Austin to escape the Philly weather and join the Revenue Operations team as a Client Success Resident to help clients win (and eat tacos).
When she's not in the office, you can find her playing volleyball at the local courts, reading any book she can get her hands on, re-watching New Girl for the hundredth time, and blasting ABBA in her home.

Parker was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio until he decided to move down south and go to college at the University of Texas at Austin. At UT, he swam competitively (Winning 2 National Championships) and studied the psychology of advertising and organizations. At Blackhawk, Parker is in the residency program helping every client have a smooth guide into servicing and works closely within marketing strategy.
When he's not working, you'll most commonly find him watching any movie recommendation he receives, playing with his cats (Luke and Leia), and driving across the beautiful Austin landscape.

Erika (she/her) grew up in New Braunfels, TX. She attended Texas A&M University where she received her undergraduate degree in Communication with a minor in Spanish, as well as a masters in Marketing.
While she was obtaining her masters degree, she began working for Blackhawk as a Web Development Intern. She will soon be transitioning into the residency program, where she hopes to learn even more about web development and design.

Kaylee (she/her) was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She graduated McNeese State University with a Bachelors in General Studies, minoring in Psychology and Sociology. After living in Southwest Louisiana all of her life, she moved to Austin to pursue a career in a creative industry. Kaylee landed at Blackhawk in their Residency Program – she is a Digital Marketing Associate, but specializes in many things. At Blackhawk Kaylee does email marketing, design, copywriting, and anything else her day throws at her!
Outside of work, Kaylee spends her afternoons at Zilker or on her paddleboard at Lady Bird Lake. She enjoys visiting coffee shops, cooking and baking at home, and catching happy hours at her favorite spots!
