Sara Wickey

Sara (she/her) was born and raised in Kansas City, spent six years in Austin, and is now back home in KC. So yes, go Chiefs. She’s close with her nephew, her niece, her friends, and her family, and being in the same city as most of them again is a good part of why she made the move. Outside of work, Sara, her husband Ben, and their dog Kali are usually out on a long walk, catching up with friends, or exploring somewhere new. On the weekends you’ll find her trying a new restaurant, or, when she gets back to Austin, on a patio with a margarita in hand.

Sara joined Blackhawk six years ago, during the height of COVID, as Jonathan’s right hand. Running an agency through a pandemic turned out to be the fastest possible education in business operations and leadership, and it set the pattern for everything since: a path through client success, revenue operations, and general management that led her to President. Today Sara oversees account management, operations, and delivery across every service line, from web and SEO to paid media, social, and content. She’s the bridge between strategy and execution, and she’s spent the last several years building the systems and processes that let a team of this size do consistently good work. Her focus now is on what’s next for Blackhawk: sharper delivery, better tooling, and a client experience that holds up as we grow.
