Erika (she / her) grew up in New Braunfels, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University, originally to study Biomedical Science – after helping a local marketing company run social media accounts for one of New Braunfels’ Chick-fil-As, Marble Slab, and a few others, she quickly switched her major to Communications. After graduating, she stayed another year at Texas A&M to obtain her Masters in Marketing. When she is not working on websites, Erika is most likely walking her toy goldendoodle named Finley, trying something new in the kitchen, going on an early morning run, going to a farmer’s market, or planning her wedding that will be taking place in April of 2024!
Erika began working at Blackhawk as a Web Intern in December of 2021 while obtaining her Masters degree. She began working full time in June of 2022 as a Web Resident, six months after which she transitioned into the role of a Web Development Specialist. Erika enjoys continuing to develop her skills and understanding of Web Development and principles of UX / UI. Recently, she has begun learning more about Web Support and Hosting. Her favorite projects have been developing the newly redesigned Blackhawk website (you’re looking at this thanks to her!), learning Framer for the b3 studio website, and experimenting with movement and interaction for the RAWW site.
