Google will be testing a new feature to upgrade your Google My Business account. (Not confident on what Google My Business is? Watch this.) This upgrade includes a ‘Google Guaranteed’ badge which will appear at the top of your Google My Business profile giving your business a boost of credibility.
The Google Guarantee program works in conjunction with Google Local Services in order to give higher credibility to businesses. The green check will strengthen your business’s online reputation and encourage activity on ads. In short, this feature can heighten your online presence, allowing users to trust your brand faster, easier and with confidence.

The benefits of Google Guarantee will affect not only your business, but also the customer. The green badge symbolizes credibility and security. When searching for home services or things alike, your google guaranteed business will pop with a green check verifying your business is worth their time and money. If customers are unsatisfied with your service, quality of work, or any other reason, Google will cover claims up to the job invoice amount, with a $2000 lifetime cap. These claims must be submitted within 30 days of the service completion date as well as the service in question must have been booked through Local Services.
How You Will Get Google Guaranteed Once It Is Released
Once the upgrade is released, there will be several steps you need to take before you are a Google Guaranteed business. The cost of this upgrade is $50 a month. Once you earn your badge — you can reap the reward. Once the feature has launched, these are the five steps to take:
- You must be a legitimate business that uses Google Ads or Local Service Ads
- Sign up for Local Services ads here
- Complete the background check
- Complete license and insurance verification
- Once approved, your My Google Business profile will be advertised with the official Google Guarantee badge
