Even though it seems great on the surface, there are weird expectations and unspoken caveats associated with “unlimited PTO.” We never want you to feel anxious about asking for time off because resting, relaxing, and having fun should be restorative, not stressful. We champion a healthy work/life balance and strongly encourage you to use all of your PTO hours. But, if you don’t end up using it all, don’t worry — up to 80 PTO hours will roll over to the following year.

Birthday PTO

We love birthdays around here, so we make sure you get some time to celebrate yours however you want. You get 8 hours of extra PTO to use whenever you want during your birthday month. It’s like a rolling paid holiday that doesn’t come from your vacation days.

32 Hour Work Week with Flex Days

When we talk about work/life balance, we sincerely mean it. We champion a shorter work week because we see the benefits. It’s not a coincidence that our employees are some of the happiest, and our retention rate is unbelievably high.

Volunteering Opportunities

We encourage employees to be involved in their communities, lending their voluntary support to programs that positively impact the quality of life within these communities. Full time employees may take up to 24 additional PTO hours per year to participate in volunteer opportunities, programs, or initiatives of their choosing.

Professional Development Opportunities

We encourage employees to learn new skills, explore professional interests, and advance their careers. Full time employees may take up to 16 additional PTO hours per year to participate in webinars, conferences, masterclasses, or other professional development opportunities.

We hope you won’t need to use these, but if a situation arises, they are available to you.

Team Trust & Transparency

We pride ourselves on a culture of mutual trust and transparency. If you need to go to the dentist or the DMV during the workday, just let us know. No need to use PTO.

Quarterly Team Events

Time to celebrate our successes as a team – usually in the form of a half day. In the past we’ve gone axe throwing, rented boats on Lake Austin, and once we spent the day hanging out around San Antonio visiting different restaurants and bars before going to see a Bastille concert.

Monthly Birthday Celebrations and Happy Hours

Remember when Jim Halpert tried to get everyone in The Office to share a cake? It’s like that but much more fun and with way less drama.

Breakfast Taco Parties

Why start your day with clearing out your inbox when you can chat with the team over some delicious local eats? We eat tacos a lot and the company covers it — mostly on Tuesdays, but not always. That’s Austin for you – every day is Taco Tuesday.
