Sara (she / her) grew up in Kansas City – go Chiefs! She often travels to Kansas City, St. Louis, or Colorado to spend time with her nephew, friends, and family. Outside of work, Sara and her fiancée Ben and their dog Kali enjoy long walks on Town Lake (Lady Bird for all non-Austinites), spending time with their friends, or exploring new places. On the weekends, you can typically find Sara trying new restaurants, or enjoying the Austin weather with a margarita in hand.
Sara’s journey at Blackhawk began over three years ago during the height of COVID. Sara worked closely alongside our CEO, Jonathan, throughout the pandemic. This challenging experience became a profound learning opportunity for Sara, where she gained invaluable insights into business operations and leadership. Sara leads both the Sales and Finance team at Blackhawk while training and learning the ropes of HR. She now is the Vice President, General Manager of Blackhawk. In this role, she plays a pivotal part in shaping Blackhawk’s future. Her vision, coupled with her passion for problem-solving, has led to innovative solutions and strategies that are driving the company forward.
Sara keeps our heads on straight – we’d be totally lost without her! She shows up every day ready to move Blackhawk forward any way she can. Amongst a million moving pieces, Sara makes sure every team player knows what’s needed of them and offers support to help them get there. She really is a rock at this company!
I’ve never known a woman quite like Sara. She is so intelligent, giving, and extremely devoted to her career and everyone at the company. Not only does she support me, she supports everyone here and is never too busy to listen and hear you out. By far the most selfless individuals I’ve ever met. So grateful to work with her.
