Originally from Querétaro, Mexico, Juan (he/him) enjoys his time in Austin at home with girlfriend Payton, his dog Sadie, and his cat Flauta! He loves finding new local spots and trying new things, especially coffee (Mercado Sin Nombre has the best horchata cold brew and masa twinkies!). He loves getting up early to watch his favorite soccer team (Chelsea FC), hanging out with friends and finding art shows (shoutout Bolm Arts!), or going on hikes around Austin (Twin Falls!).
Juan is a passionate problem-solver and a key member of the technology team at Blackhawk. Since joining in June 2025, he has focused on developing innovative strategies to better support clients, regularly tackling web updates and other technical challenges. Juan brings multiple years of experience in full-stack development, gaining valuable experience at Gannett before joining a team of fellow Texas State University Digital Media Innovation graduates at Blackhawk!
